Palmerston North Campus
Located on Botanical Rd in the heart of the Palmerston North community, the Papaiōea campus offers a unique and rewarding culturally enriched experience in tertiary study. by bus services, ample car parking and a small shopping centre adjacent to the campus convenience to the student’s lifestyle. Catering for people of varying ages, ethnicities and abilities, the communal classroom environment that exists on campus nurtures and assists in the successful outcomes for students. The wellbeing and success of the students is paramount to Student Support Services team, who give personalised assistance to those in study.
An exceptionally unique feature of the campus is the indoor garden atrium, complete with a running stream, both native and exotic plants and a permanent art exhibition. Whether your need is to refresh your focus or to quietly read, the atrium offers both stimulation and tranquillity to the learning environment and is a common place for students to study or chat between classes.
Offering over 20 courses in Palmerston North ranging from the Arts, Social Work, Sports, Teaching, Business, Māori Language and much more there is a huge range of courses available with affordable fees and flexible family friendly study options.
The Papaiōea campus also supports four main outpost sites spread throughout the Lower and Central North Island in the Taranaki, Whanganui and Hawkes Bay regions.
A smaller outpost is located at 705 Heretaunga Street West, Hastings. This site is home to the highly regarded Toimairangi School of Contemporary Māori Arts, led by the renowned artist Professor Sandy Adsett; and to Te Panekiretanga o te Reo – the Institute of Excellence in the Māori Language. This is where our most advanced Māori language course is offered to fluent reo speakers, under the tutelage of Doctors Timoti Kāretū and Te Wharehuia Milroy and Professor Pou Temara.
