Introduction

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori has been celebrated in Aotearoa-New Zealand every year since 1975. Each year has a particular theme, and for 2012 Arohatia te Reo – Cherish the Language is the influence for our celebrations.

Here at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa cherishing the language is what we do best! If you are interested in learning te reo Māori we offer a pathway for you to be able to become confident in conversation and korero.

	Certificate in Te Ara Reo Māori Level 2 Duration: 36 weeks | No fees This is our introductory programme where you can learn basic conversational reo Māori and learn about the customs and protocols of the Māori culture. Classes and tutorials are friendly, interactive and fun. Upon successful completion you may wish to enrol in our Level 4.
	Certificate in Te Ara Reo Māori Level 4 Duration: 36 weeks | No fees In Level 4 you will develop your te reo Māori conversational skills at an intermediate level as well as your knowledge of tikanga Māori in traditional and modern contexts. Our Te Ara Reo Māori programmes are designed for adult learners and depending on your location; you may be able to enrol into the Diploma in Te Ara Reo Māori Level 5.
	Diploma in Te Ara Reo Māori Level 5 Duration: 36 weeks | No fees Develop confidence in Māori language to an advanced level by speaking and writing te reo Māori. This level will also deepen your understanding of tikanga Māori.
	Certificate in Te Pūtaketanga o Te Reo Level 4 Duration: 36 weeks   l   No fees   This is a foundation, total immersion Māori language programme. Its key focus is on development of written and verbal reo skills with a special emphasis on kōrero. Upon successful completion you may wish to enrol on our Level 5.
	Diploma in Te Aupikitanga ki te Reo Kairangi Level 6 Duration: 36 weeks | No fees This programme is an intermediate level, total immersion te reo Māori programme. It develops intermediate-level fluency and proficiency in apply te reo Māori and tikanga Māori in a wide variety of contexts.
	Diploma in Te Pīnakitanga ki te Reo Kairangi Level 7 Duration: 36 weeks | No fees This is an advanced total immersion Māori language programme that will develop your fluency.
