Includes: NZ Certificate in Tikanga Level 2
If you’re interested in Māori culture and want to learn the stories about who we are as an indigenous people, this programme is the perfect place to start.
Tikanga means customs and protocols - a certain way of doing something. For Māori, tikanga helps us preserve, retain and remember the ways of our ancestors. You’ll cover a broad range of topics from Māori migration and history, through to waiata and haka. You’ll also explore your own lineage and cultural identity.
We offer a tikanga study pathway that can take you from a level 3 certificate, right through to a master’s degree. Or, you might be interested in other areas such as Māori language, tourism or the arts.I want to use my qualification
