STAR Aviation will guide you through your first steps towards becoming a pilot. You’ll start out by learning about the aviation industry in New Zealand and how it works. Then you’ll learn what’s needed to create a flight plan in preparation for your first flight. Once you’re ready, an instructor will take you for a 45 minute flight (approximately).

- This course takes place one day per week over two weeks (currently available in the Tainui rohe only).
Cost:
- $290 (excl. GST)
Unit Standards:
- When you successfully complete this course, you’ll be credited with unit standard 27519 – Describe a system in an operation in an organisation (level: 3; credits: 2).
