Do you work with, or aspire to work with, kuia and koroua in our community? If so, Te Kumanu Raeroa will give you the right skills to support our kaumātua (older people) in a way that’s most appropriate for their needs.
This introductory programme combines tikanga with an understanding of health services to ensure kuia, koroua and their whānau are not only well looked after, but also cherished, understood and empowered in the community.
Tauira enrolled in this programme are encouraged to bring their own digital device to download resources to support their studies.

Increase your knowledge further by enrolling in one of our Level 4 programmes in social services, tikanga or rongoā.
I want to use my qualificationYou will graduate with a NZQA-approved qualification that shows you have the skills to work with kuia and koroua as a personal caregiver, home-helper or driver. You could also use your skills to contribute to the health needs of kuia and koroua in your whānau, hapū and/or iwi.
