Tauira will get access to their academic records several months before their graduation.
The former process was that rohe presented academic records to tauira alongside their qualification at graduation ceremonies sometimes more than six months after programmes were completed.
From now on, academic records signed by Te Taiurungi Jim Mather will be released directly to tauira as soon as final graduation documents have been processed by rohe and forwarded to Student Registry at Te Puna Mātauranga.
Tumuratonga Keri Milne-Ihimaera says speeding up the delivery of academic records to students was the first of many great ideas from the Tauira Experience Survey to bear fruit.
“The recent Tauira Experience Survey showed us that tauira want us to speed up the time we get their results to them. At a Graduation de-brief meeting – we identified this action as one way we could do this,” says Keri.
“This is one of the first actions as a result of the tauira survey and one way that we can make the tauira experience even better by providing them with their academic results a lot earlier to help them apply for jobs,” says Keri.
This new process will be implemented for tauira that completed TWoA programmes in Semester A 2015.
