Kaimahi benefits
As our kaimahi, we make sure you have the right tools and support to do your job. You’ll be part of a whānau that is motivated, enthusiastic and committed to our mission of tauira success.
Kaupapa Māori
As a proudly Indigenous tertiary educator, ‘whānau transformation through education’ is our vision. We have a strong presence within cultural events, with special leave available for kaimahi involved in certain cultural or sporting kaupapa.
Life balance
No matter how important our mahi, whānau comes first. All permanent employees receive four extra leave days each year to celebrate Matariki and the Christmas/New Year season.
Health and wellbeing
Permanent kaimahi (0.5FTE or higher) receive free health and life insurance, including pre-existing conditions.
Access our award-winning Tau Ora programmes that encourage wellbeing and inclusion.
Growth opportunities
Kaimahi are our greatest asset, so we nurture, guide and empower them to grow their skills, capability and understanding of te ao Māori. We achieve this through a range of in-house learning programmes and access to our library services across Aotearoa.
