Our local story
Waiwhero takes its name from the stream that flows beside our campus on Depot Street. This is a constant presence for our tauira and a reminder of our strong connection to the local environment.
Our campus stands on whenua with deep history and enduring mana. We acknowledge Ngāti Whakaue as mana whenua and value their ongoing connection with our campus.
We welcome every learner into a supportive whānau at our Waiwhero campus. Whether you are beginning something new, returning to study, or growing your skills, we are here to help you succeed - for yourself, your whānau, and your community.
