Ngā takenga mai o Kāpuia

The origins of Kāpuia

The name Kāpuia comes from a tongikura by King Tāwhiao:

"Ki te kotahi te kākaho ka whati, ki te kāpuia, e kore e whati."

When reeds stand alone, they are vulnerable, but bound together they are unbreakable.

Kāpuia reflects unity, camaraderie and strength – ideals that reflect the values at the heart of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Graduation opens the door to a new chapter, and through Kāpuia you'll stay connected as you take your next steps.
