Our local story
Ahuriri, at the heart of Te Matau-a-Māui, has long been a place of gathering, learning, and connection. Our programme delivery site in Napier South has been home to Te Wānanga o Aotearoa since 2016, continuing this tradition of education and whanaungatanga.
This single-story site covers 158 square metres and includes three dedicated parks for easy access. Inside, there are two office spaces and a classroom fully equipped to support learning.
This is the smallest of our three sites in the Ahuriri/Heretaunga region, complementing our larger learning spaces at 205 Hastings Street and 705 Heretaunga Street. Together, these educational sites form a network of support and opportunity for tauira and whānau across Hawke’s Bay.
Whether you are beginning your study journey, reconnecting after time away, or seeking deeper knowledge of te ao Māori, this is a place where you will be supported to succeed in your studies and beyond.
