Te ako i te kāinga

Learn from your place

Our home-based learning programmes are designed for learners who need flexibility. If you're juggling work, whānau, or other commitments, home-based learning lets you learn in a way that fits your life.

You'll complete most of your study on your own, with support from a dedicated kaitiaki who visits you at your chosen study location.

Your kaitiaki will:

  • Check in with you regularly

  • Answer your questions and explain your learning tasks

  • Help you stay motivated and on track

  • Guide you next steps and mark your assessments

You’ll work through your learning materials and assessments independently, while your kaitiaki provides face-to-face support to help you succeed.

Is home-based learning right for you?

Home-based learning suits people who can manage their time, stay motivated, and enjoy working independently. If you want flexibility and a study option that fits around your life, home-based learning could be a great choice.
