Overview:

STAR Police will give you a look into a career with the New Zealand Police. Over the 2 days, you’ll learn all about the Police and its operations, including:

• Public Safety Teams
• Criminal Investigation Branch
• Road Policing Teams, and
• Family Harm.

You can also find out more about what it takes to get into The Royal New Zealand Police College. This is a level 3 course and is intended for students at Year 12 or 13.

How this course helps with unit standards:

When you successfully complete this STAR course, you’ll be credited with unit standard 27519 Describe a system in an operation in an organisation (Level 3, 2 credits).

Where to from here?

STAR Police leads to further study or training at New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 3 and above at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa or another provider.
