Manahautū (Police Focus) Level 4 builds on the Level 3 foundation and targets preparation for frontline pathways within NZ Police.
You’ll apply cultural competence in realistic scenarios, refine communication and decision-making under pressure, and strengthen fitness, wellbeing, and resilience to meet recruitment and training demands. While the programme supports a range of Police careers, its emphasis is on skills valued in frontline roles, with learning that also benefits non-sworn pathways.

Entry criteria
You can enrol if you:
Are 17 years or older
Are a NZ citizen or resident (includes Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau) or Australian citizen/permanent resident
Currently reside in New Zealand
Complete a short literacy and numeracy check so we can support your learning needs
Show readiness for Police training and the demands of the programme
Demonstrate ability to study at Level 4 through prior education or work experience
