Our partnership with SIT
The Southern Institute of Technology and Te Wānanga o Aotearoa have a long‑standing strategic partnership arrangement that enables the delivery of te reo Māori and other programmes to students through SIT’s Zero Fees scheme.
This partnership began in 2005 and was initiated by Rongo Wetere (founder of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa) and Penny Simmonds (former Chief Executive Officer of the Southern Institute of Technology).
