Build your confidence and skills to take on team leadership roles. You’ll learn about leadership styles, team dynamics, motivation, and communication strategies grounded in Māori and contemporary leadership principles.

Through learning together and practical activities, you’ll develop the ability to set team objectives, manage performance, and foster a positive, inclusive environment. By the end of the programme, you’ll be ready to lead teams effectively in business or community settings.

Entry criteria

You can enrol if you: 

  • Are 16 years or older 

  • Are a NZ citizen or resident (includes Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau) or Australian citizen/permanent resident 

  • Currently reside in New Zealand 

  • Have a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) OR

  • Demonstrate competence in a numeracy and literacy exercise

Fees and scholarships

The 2027 fee for this programme is:

  • $1,000 GST inclusive

The fees displayed for 2027 are indicative and may be subject to change. The regulatory settings governing fees for 2027 are currently being finalised and implemented through government approval processes and will be confirmed by the end of October.
