Our local story
Te Puka Whakauka is the name of the new Te Wānanga o Aotearoa campus in Dunedin.
The name speaks to an anchor that provides stability and grounding, supporting tauira as they navigate their learning journey.
Located in the historic Public Trust Building, the campus reflects Ōtepoti’s harbour landscape and honours Kāi Tahu as mana whenua, offering a place of strength, connection and steady progress for learning.

Facilities and support services
Our campus provides comfortable, accessible spaces to help you focus on your learning. We’re open from 8.30am, Monday to Friday.
We offer:
Learning spaces to support your studies
A computer lab with free Wi-Fi
Student support services, including academic help and wellbeing support (by appointment)
A kitchenette for tauira use
Wheelchair and lift access
Parking:
There is no on site parking for tauira at this campus
Metered street parking is available during the day
Some street parking may be free after 6pm
A Wilsons Carpark is located approximately 50 meters from the entrance
