Omaka Marae and Te Wānanga o Aotearoa
A thriving partnership
Since 2005, Te Wānanga o Aotearoa has been privileged to walk alongside Omaka Marae as a place of learning for the community. Guided by the kawa of Rangitāne, this marae is more than a campus. It is a living village where language, culture, and community thrive.
In this pā setting, learners are surrounded by a vibrant network, from an early learning centre and kura kaupapa, to civil defence and other whānau-focused services. Each works in harmony with the kaupapa of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, supporting every learner’s journey.
Whether you’re here to grow your reo Māori, explore rongoā, or develop your skills in Māori arts, you’ll be learning in a place woven with whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, and cultural pride.
